How to write a letter
Polity Address the public official. Ask questions about the misconduct. Mention their supervisor’s full name and
that you have forwarded a copy of your letter to their supervisor. Send the letter with certified mail with a return
receipt (the post office will be happy to assist you with this) or you can go on line and print out a verification
receipt from the USPS confirmation center without sending a return receipt.

If you do not get results to your satisfaction with this first letter then you can repeat this same process to a
higher authority on your list. Remember your list goes all the way to the governor’s office and beyond if you so
desire.

Here are some good links to help you write great letters.
